Who we are
Fieldtruth Labs is the trading name of Paddy Archer, a sole trader based in London, who is the controller (“we”) of the personal data described here. Contact: hello@fieldtruth.io.
Business contacts we write to
We design and build websites, internal tools and AI systems, and specialise in investor communications for listed companies. To offer that work, we sometimes email a person at a company we have not worked with before.
- What we hold: your name, your role, the company email address we wrote to, and our correspondence with you.
- Where it came from: material your company publishes itself, such as the contact block of its regulatory announcements, its annual report or its website. Each email says which source we used. We do not buy lists or guess addresses.
- Why, and our lawful basis: to offer you a service relevant to your role. Our basis is legitimate interests (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): we have a legitimate interest in offering our services to companies, the message concerns your company’s own published information, and the data is limited to business contact details your company has made public.
- How long we keep it: no more than 12 months after our last contact, unless we start working together. If you ask us not to contact you again, we keep only a minimal record (your email address and the date) so that we never write to you again.
Clients and enquiries
If you contact us or we work together, we hold the contact details and correspondence needed to answer you or deliver the work, on the basis of our contract with you or our legitimate interests, and keep them for as long as the work and our legal obligations (for example, accounting records) require.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. It is processed by the services we use to run the business: email, calendar and document storage (Google Workspace) and website hosting. If you book a call through our booking page, Google Calendar collects your name, email address and the time you choose, and passes them to us to arrange the call. Some of these providers process data outside the UK; where they do, they rely on the safeguards UK law requires, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
This website
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from third parties. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security, for a short period.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to restrict how we use it. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing: reply “unsubscribe” or “no thanks” to any email, or write to hello@fieldtruth.io, and we will act on it within 5 business days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your own country’s data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this notice if how we use personal data changes, and change the date at the top.
